Onwards together! It's day four and we've left England, stumbled over Hadrian's Wall and we are now in Scotland. We've stopped at Edinburgh, the beautiful capital city. The castle is built overlooking the city, on top of long-extinct volcano. Indeed the hundreds of millions of years ago the mountains of Scotland were bigger than the Himalayas, but years of ice-ages and the Scottish winters have weathered them down.
Edinburgh is the home of Year 5's university, it was once known as 'Auld Reekie' because it smelt so bad, thankfully it smells a lot better these days for the millions of tourists who descend every year in August for the festival in the city.
