January 2021 Home Learning Information

As you have probably heard on the news yesterday Barnet schools will ONLY be open for critical worker children and vulnerable children. This will be reviewed on the 18th of January 2021.

If you know that you are a critical worker and there is no one else at home to support your child please text the school number on 07367 494869 by 12 noon on Saturday 2nd January 2021 with the name of your child and we will get back to you. With the new variant of COVID-19 and how easily it is transmitted, it is vital that we only provide face to face education for those children that there is no other option.

This means that we will reintroduce home learning for the majority of the children, from the 5th of January, as we did before.

Each morning;

  • Your child’s class teacher will upload the work that needs to be completed that day on to the class pages.
  • You will receive a zoom link for your child to join at 9am so that they can register for the day and ask any questions that they need to.

Each afternoon

  • You will use the same zoom link to register for the afternoon at 1pm.
  • You will upload the day’s work to the class blog. Early Years children will upload their work on to Tapestry.

It is essential that the children complete the work set so that we can ensure there is no lost learning during this challenging time. We realise that this is not an ideal situation however I know with your support we can work together to ensure we all stay safe and the children continue to learn. We are able to offer ipads/laptops to a few children so if accessing online learning is an issue for you please make sure you contact us and we will arrange an IT device for your child.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact the school via the office email, your class teacher via the class email or by phone on 07367 494869 (before the 4th Jan).
