Our Routine

There is a weekly timetable available for those who would like to see the week's structure. This may change depending on circumstances.

Everyday, I will post a daily timetable. This timetable will let you know which subjects we will be working on and what the learning objective is. There are also timings on there, to let you know how long you should be spending on each subject and give you an idea of how the day can be structured.

After checking the daily timetable, you can start going through each lesson's home learning activities. Please ensure you are doing the home learning activities and not mistaking this for the normal homework. Home learning is the most important thing to do whereas homework can be completed outside of school hours.

Each day, I will be doing a register for all Year 5 students at 9am and 1pm. There will also be a story-time for everyone at 3pm.

The class text for Guided Reading and story-time is 'There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom'. It is on the class page as a PDF.

I will be available between 11:00 and 12:00 to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. We can discuss them at the allocated time via email, phone call or zoom call.

Remember to take plenty of brain breaks, exercise and take care of yourselves! You are all amazing.smiley

Daily message - 12.02.21

I had a wonderful time at our pizza party yesterday and I hope you did too. Your cooking skills are very impressive!!

Today is our last day and I've planned a few Valentine's themed activities for you all. This afternoon, you are all off timetable so please take a look at today's daily timetable for some ideas.

Year 5 students, you have been complete superstars! You have all consistently shown maturity, independence and resilience. I am so lucky to be your teacher and you have made me incredibly proud. Please take of yourselves over this half-term break and have fun! Can't wait to see you all when we come back to learn about our new topic, Ancient Greece.

Year 5 parents and carers, you have all worked incredibly hard over this half term. I honestly can't thank you enough for how positive, supportive and kind you have all been! I really do hope you all have a (much deserved!) relaxing and enjoyable half term break.

We will coming back to remote learning on Monday 22nd February on Microsoft Teams. Once you receive your logins, have a play about on the site to try and get more used to it. But please don't worry, we will be using the first few days back to help each other get used to it.
