By the end of Year 4, all children are expected to know their times tables up to 12 x 12.

There will be a statutory test in June 2022 on Times Tables.

In Northside, we learn the times tables in this particular order (so that the children can make connections between the tables)

10, 5, 2, 4, 8, 3, 6, 9, 12, 11, 7.

In September, the children were assessed on their times table knowledge and we given a times table target. They have a weekly test every Friday and we practise in class on a daily basis. Once they have passed their times table target twice with full marks, they will be given a new target. 

Please ensure that you child logs on regularly to Times Table Rockstars and practise their times tables. They can also use the suggested websites and resources below. 

Once your child knows all of their times tables, they will focus on recalling them fluently at speed. They will use a range of games and resources to apply their times table knowledge and they will also work on recalling the related division facts.
