We invite you to join us on Wednesday 12th Feb at 1.30pm for a dedicated online meeting where your questions about Barnet’s SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provisions can be answered.
Throughout the recent in-person coffee mornings held across participating Barnet schools as part of PINS (Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools) pilot programme, several common topics have emerged, including:
This session aims to address these recurring questions and provide clarity on key concerns.
The session will be facilitated by Afsha (Parent Engagement and Participation Lead) from the Brandon Centre and Kim Miller (Head of Service for Specialist Inclusion Team) for Barnet Education and Learning Service will be leading the Q & A and Lisa Coffman from the Barnet Parent Carer Forum who will share information on how the forum supports parents.

As part of the parent carers feedback from the PINS Parent Carer Engagement Sessions we have organised the following:
Online session: Managing Holidays, Days out and Celebrations
Date: 4th March at 1.30pm
Session details:
In this workshop, we’ll discuss common difficulties and share practical approaches to create more positive holiday experiences for your family. Additionally, we’ll explore tips for parents to prioritize their own well-being.
Additional language support is available to access the online session or if you require any other adjustments, please get in touch via email before 15th Feb 2025.

About the faciliator: Shih-Ching is a life coach and advocate for neurodiversity awareness with 25 years of experience as a music teacher. As a parent to a neurodivergent teenager, she combines professional expertise with personal insights to support schools, families, and organizations. Through coaching, talks, and workshops, Shih-Ching provides practical guidance to create inclusive environments where neurodiverse individuals can thrive.
